Last Summer I created a Bid Day card for the collegiate women of the Delta Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Sigma Alpha. I graduated in the Spring but that didn’t stop me from creating more cute things with my letters on them (Sisterhood doesn’t end at graduation!). I spent a good part of my summer playing with Adobe Illustrator and created a range of graphics including some that were used for the “Bid Day Package.”
Bid day cards are the first thing that women get when they find out what house they will be a part of and it is essential that the card be fun, cute, and unique. It is something that will be treasured for years to come. I have mine displayed in my scrapbook!
While I was designing the card I kept thinking "What should a bid day card say?" While there are the generic cards that say "You are cordially invited to join our sisterhood" I wanted something with some more meaning and more warmth. I decided on my own wording. The front of the card says The Sisterhood of ASA and the back of the card says Welcome to the Sisterhood of Alpha Sigma Alpha. This is the beginning of a beautiful life long jourrney. It is with open arms that we invite you to our sisterhood. It's short and sweet and super cute!
